If anyone's going to provide a seamless, one-click solution to buying and selling digital content it's probably Google.
Google has announced a paid content system for news publishers called Newspass, said to be active by the end of 2010.
According to their PR, " ...publishers will be able to designate what type of payment they want to accept, including subscriptions and micropayments."
Users will be able to access and pay for content using Google's Checkout directly from search engine results, even if they are behind paywalls.
Although aimed at the news industry, something like Newspass for the screen content industry can't be too far away.
